This is Big Daddy. He has a very sweet disposition and is so
good to his girls; we hope this passes on to his chicks. He also
has feathered legs.

A Cuckoo Maran should always have white legs with the exception of the darker shade over the front of the pullets legs. Also at some point your roo's legs may turn pink. The Cuckoo Maran is a sex-link chicken and it is possible to determine their sex at hatch. However mistakes have been made and it's not foolproof. In fact, this chick above which I was sure for all indications was a pullet....not. It's a cockeral.
